Week One

E-commerce website Evaluation

1. Morrisons.grocery
The main purpose of the https://groceries.morrisons.com/webshop/startWebshop.do is to provide the customers with the latest products available at Morrisons. This website is e-commerce website (b2c). The website is an extension of an already existing supermarket. The website gives the possibility to do shopping without leaving home.

Freelancer.co.uk
The main purpose is to provide the possibility to post a job or project/task to be done by the service buyer, by the other site freelancer gives us the possibility to bid on a project and find a potential job to do.

2.Morrisons.grocery
The Morrison's grocery website gives the possibility to buy products, groceries, everything that we can find at Morrison's market.

Freelancer.co.uk - Users of this website sell their skills and services to another users called buyers.

3.Morrison's grocery has a constantly updated website, the offer is changing all of the time, so we are not able to count the pages.

Freelancer.co.uk has an unspecified number of pages due to the fact that the buyers post the project every minute.

4. Morrison's website has a facebook, tweeter, youtube, Instagram social media linked.
Freelancer has a possibility to sign in via facebook account.

5.Both of the websites have contact details included in the contact section

6. Morrison's website gives the opportunity to choose from hundreds of various products from their offer.

Freelancer - as soon as you choose the person to co-operate with you can award his bid/proposal.

7. Morrisons provide their products offer only in the UK, so you are obligated to convert foreign currency to Pound Sterling.

Freelancer - you'll be able to pay and receive the money in the desired currency.

8. Due to competition Morrisons does not redirect you to another supermarkets website, it is possible to check their social media.

Freelancer - you could find interlinked pages included in the project offer, also you can visit freelancer.co.uk social media profiles.

9. Morrison's - the navigation on Morrison's website is clean and readable, it is definitely user-friendly navigation.

Freelancer - this portal is quite huge, it is a small online office for self-employed people, navigation is clear and easy but anyway it takes some time to embrace your online office, invoicing system etc.

10.Morrisons - One of the biggest supermarket in the UK, website look well invested and developer takes care of every detail from the UI site and marketing as well.

Problem solving

I decide to use one of templates provided by Wix.
I start my work from customising the already prepared template according to my own taste and needs, to make it as much functional as it is possible. I tried to make information contained on my website fully visible and clear for customers, additionaly I would like to encourage the customers to learn and use one of services provided by DevelopYourself and prepare the content in marketing style, also type of information on the landing page is considered as encouragable and should imcrease willingless to purchase services. Every step which I performed base on "drag and drop" basis, I changed the position of the text containers, put eye-catching background, wrote content, etc. On the homepage I took the liberty to include testimonials section which contains customers opinion, this
practice clearly shows to the customers that DevelopYourself is trustworthy service provider.

Google page insight analyze:

1. I test the website using Google page insight tool. I always test website using this tool, but I have never received 404 code, my assumptions are that the 404 code is related to the fact, that wix use Content Management System, to generate websites, I think that's why Google could not fully analyze the website.

However, google provide the score of 93 points out of 100 on Computer testing,
and 65 out of 100 of mobile devices.

The scores amazed me, maybe google set the score of 93 because could not fully analyze the website, I would like to encourage everyone to investigate the problem, and do research on optimization process.

As I said above, the scores are pretty good, judging by my experiences from the past, it takes long hours of hard-work and looking for the solutions for the particular problems, optimisation opportunities and upgrading the loading time.

I marked by stars, the possible upgrades which could be performed to enhance your website speed.

About the optimisation opportunity, it is not an easy peasy and it is related with code customisation - obviously we are not able to modify the code on wix,
but If you code your website, the optimisation process is related with :
-.htaccess file operation, optimising the content from above-the-fold,
-leverage browsing data,
-extend cache time - to improve user experience(loading from already downloaded files instead from the external server)
-code minification, compression.

and enormous amount of different things to perform to get maximum score.

I would like to take the liberty to present score which I get to the one of my projects, that was occupied by the long time of discovering webmasters tricks and tips forums and articles.

3.Choose desired payment method. Classic or paypal.

4.Choose testing option.(demo version of payment service, for project purposes only.)

5.Log in to the paypal account, or fill up the form to set up your credit or debit card.

6. Alternative payment method provided by wix. Fill up the form with your details.

Further steps require full payment process. Above presented steps allows the customers to make a payment. Customers are able to go through the clear, intuitive payment process, without doubt or any third party danger.

I would like to explain how to add search bar, navigation bar, pages, moving containers, manage toolbar, create new sections, add extentions, plugins, apps, databases, links, graphics, background,videos, customise text, etc. Finally, adding effects to improve visual image of the entire website. Also, I will try to explain what my is website functionality strategy and how to perform it, present particular pages and their purpose as part of Problem Solving study.
Above mentioned operations was only steps taken to customise the template.

After that, I noticed that I need "About us" page to let the customers learn how professional services DevelopYourself provide. Learn about the company and their services and how they work - it is the motto of about us page.

Next page is titled Services
If you hover over this option, you will be able to choose one from services and learn about it.
About the background, the image of mountains could initially looks like lack of coherency or inappropriate choice, but I think that the prospect of going to the vacation instead of doing boring and exhausting work or projects, is encouraging for the potential clients.

The purpose of Contact us page is to provide to the customers the possibility to contact with the service provider. Customers are able to contact via contact form which is included in contact us page, and in footer of landing page for convenience of customers.

Options in the nav bar you will be able to choose FAQ or Blog section

I am not able to write any feedback about my partner website. I wrote the explanation below.

My partner puts extremely efforts to create her website. She was not able to use every Wix functions, as every colleague are able to, her toolbar was limited - looks like demo version which does not allow her to complete the website or add necessary plugins, extensions, apps.
The tools disappeared 3 weeks before submission she could not find the option to reverse all necessary function and data.
She reports her problem to the tutor immediately, when she realizes the difficulties.
According to her evidence, she gets instruction to copy all of the pages, copying process just wastes her valuable time and results in nothing.

The problem has been solved 07/03/2018. - but the entire website and all data have been removed by third parties.

Unfortunately, 1 week before submission the entire website disappeared. She is not able to reverse the website because there is no data on her wix account and changes register has no records now, but it was fully reversible one week ago.

Additionally,

This situation is a perfect example to present how data security protection is important, judging by the situation that the website amendments and changes register disappeared as well, that WAS NOT happen as a result of computers issue - because the register of changes could not disappear by itself, it makes her unable to reverse her website.

She decided to proceed with this issue to the head tutor of e-commerce course to start an investigation. The entire situation is really weird, I am sure that she did not delete her website by herself, also I do not think so that computers are that malicious.

As one of the proofs, I attached below the screenshot of the deleted register on her wix account and completely different data than that which she left last week.
